Western Canada Fire & First Aid (WCFF) and its sister company Saga Universal Training Corp. (SAGA) have been creating and facilitating Occupational Health and Safety compliant safety training programs since 1996 and has two training centres in Edmonton.  Training can also be conducted ONSITE at your location.  We also have instructors in the Fort McMurray Region and are serving all Oil Sands sites north and south of Fort McMurray. As of September 27, 2021 – Western Canada Fire & First Aid Inc. will participate in the the Restriction Exemption Program and students MUST provide ONE of the following to access training in our facilities:
• proof of vaccination
– partial vaccination (one dose) accepted September 20 to October 25 if received 2 weeks before time of service
– full vaccination (two doses) required after October 25
• proof of a privately-paid negative PCR or rapid test within 72 hours of service (tests from AHS or Alberta Precision Laboratories not allowed)
• documentation of a medical exemption for vaccination
Students who fail to provide one of the options above will not be permitted entry to our facilities.

TRAINING  METHODS USED:
ONLINE – We offer an online format for many of our instructor-led courses. To learn more select:  ONLINE TRAINING

BLENDEDThe blended format applies to courses that require a hands-on skills assessment.  Theory can be completed ONLINE and then a skills assessment can be completed at our facility or yours.

INSTRUCTOR-LED or MONITORED – To view a complete list of our instructor-led or instructor-monitored courses please select: COURSES  Note: Smaller class sizes may result in the student taking the theory in our computer lab with the instructor present to monitor and assist the student.  Practical components will be taught in-person with the guidance and supervision of the instructor.

SKILL ASSESSORSaga Universal Training Corp. can help you become a skill assessor and training partner. As a skill assessor, you will be able to evaluate the skills of your own students after they have taken the theory online. If you are a subject matter expert in a particular field of interest and you want to become a skill assessor, we would like to hear from you!
