Fees must be paid upon registration for any of our public training programs. Group bookings may be arranged to suit specific needs. No post-dated cheque will be accepted. A fee of $25 will be charged on all N.S.F. cheques. Payment may be made by cash, cheque, debit, Visa, MasterCard, money order or approved company purchase order. The goods and service tax (GST) applies to all programs outlined in this catalogue. Our GST Registration Number is 893633396.
Western Canada Fire & First Aid reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any program that does not meet its’ required minimum enrollment. We will make every effort to inform all registrants of the cancellation prior to the start date of the course. Please provide contact telephone numbers with registration.
Individual bookings: If a registrant is unable to attend a program, 2-business days notice is required in order to receive a full refund or a transfer at no cost. If less than 2 days notice is provided you will be charged the full cost of the course and a $25.00 (plus GST) fee if you wish to reschedule. If no notice is provided, you will be charged the full fee of the course.
Group bookings: If a company or organization needs to cancel or reschedule a group booking, 5-business days notice is required in order to receive a refund or a transfer at no cost. If less than 5 days notice is provided a $200.00 (plus GST) cancellation fee will apply.
If the program you want to register in is full, please ask to be placed on a priority waiting list. You will be contacted if space becomes available.
Replacement certificates may be issued for certificates that have not expired at a cost of $25.00 (plus GST) per certificate. Fall Protection certificates may be replaced by contacting the Fall Protection Group at (403) 270-2332. H2S Alive certificates may be replaced by contacting ENFORM directly by phoning toll free 1 (800) 667-5557.
The passing grade for all courses is 70% on written exams. If a student does not achieve a passing grade but is within 10% (60% or higher) they will be eligible for a re-write. The re-write will be held at our training centre under the supervision of a staff member. The cost of the re-write is $25.00 (plus GST). Students are encouraged to read over their manuals before coming in for the re-write and are to bring their manuals with them. Re-writes are not available for the H2S Alive course. Students requiring a re-test on the practical portion of a Powered Mobile Equipment (PME) course such as Elevating Work Platforms, Forklift, Grader or Skid Steer may do so at a cost of $50.00 (plus GST).
Participation in training may require physical activity and could involve risks incidental to the function of such training. For example, a student may be required to perform CPR or other first aid skills, wear Self Contained Breathing Apparatus, demonstrate a variety of lifts drags and carries or simulate being a patient. Any relevant existing and/or previous medical conditions, or those that may arise as a result of the training, must be brought to the instructor's attention before the commencement of the program. By registering and signing our waiver, the attendee and/or their sponsor assume all such risks and responsibility for participation in the programs.
All training programs may be arranged specifically for your group.
This allows groups to set the dates, times and location that works best.
