Forklift Operator Mid-Term Evaluation
The CSA standard (B335-04) as per clause 6.21.2 recommends that employers conduct a midterm evaluation after 18 months from either initial training or re-training. This course is 4 hours and designed to review and re-evaluate operators on practical skills.
Forklift operator certification is an 8 hour course that has both a theoretical and practical test. Topics such as provincial legislation, handling materials and workplace specific hazards are covered. This course is designed for people with over 30 hours experience on the forklift.
Forklift Operator Training (2 days)Forklift operator certification is a 16 hour, 2 day course that has both a theoretical and practical test. Students will have extra practical time on the forklift and will learn seriousness of operating a forklift. Forklift operator training is designed for people with 30 hours or less experience on the forklift.
Grader Operator Certification/ Training - Groups Only!Grader operator certification and training enables operators to complete specific tasks on the grader. Please note that this course is available for groups of 10 students only.
Skid Steer Operator CertificationThe skid steer operator certification is an 8 hour class that specifies the basic knowledge and skill requirements for the safe operation of skid steer loaders and their attachments.
Variable Reach Forklift (aka Zoom Boom)The variable reach forklift course at Western Canada Fire & First Aid is divided into five theory sections and a practical component. Topics such as provincial legislation, pedestrians and pre-operational inspection are covered in the 8 hour course.
Wheel Loader Operator CertificationThis course enables operators to complete specific job tasks using the wheel loader in a safe and efficient manner. The wheel loader operator certification is an 8 hour course, divided into five theory sections and a practical component.
Wheel Loader Operator Training (2 Days)The wheel loader operator training is a two day, 18 hour course. New operators will learn about major components, basic specifications, principles of operation, operating capacities and stability and safe operating procedures. The practical exercise consists of maneuvering a skid steer & wheel loader through a predetermined obstacle course while performing several functions.
